This free session for members of The Ivors Academy, FAC, MMF, MPG and MU will explain the ‘label copy’ collected for new releases, the information required by PPL, and how different performer and contributor roles are defined and registered.
It will also highlight why accurate registrations are so important – particularly for international income and royalty distribution – and why music-makers and their managers should regularly review their data to avoid missed or incorrect payments.
Alongside practical guidance and advice on best practice, there will also be opportunities to ask questions about performer roles, processes, common issues and how to keep release information accurate and up to date.
