The Council Of Music-Makers is today presenting a day of conversations at The Great Escape Conference in Brighton.
We have teamed up with the Association Of Independent Music to host sessions on the power of independence, getting the most from creative collaborations, building bridges into the industry and putting together a dream team around artists.
The programme also sees representatives from each CMM organisation discuss some of the key campaigns they are currently collaborating on, as set out in the Music-Maker Manifesto, which you can read more about here. These includes issues related to streaming, AI, live music, media composers and misogyny in music.
Following that discussion, Musicians’ Union CEO Naomi Pohl will be in conversation with two big champions of music-makers in the UK Parliament, Alex Sobel MP and Anneliese Midgley MP.
